I’ve been feeling the baby move this week for the first time and the best way to describe the feeling is like there are large bubbles in my belly and they are popping. It doesn’t feel like butterflies or anything like that, more like popcorn popping in my tummy. Sometimes it even tickles a little. I love it! At first I thought that I just had gas, but it’s been happening every night since Saturday and the doctor said that it is probably her doing somersaults.
Speaking of the doctor, we had our 22 week appointment today and it wasn’t as uneventful as I had originally thought it would be. My blood pressure appears to be up again, blah! It was really high when I first got to the office, but right before we left they took it again and it was totally normal. Just in case though, I have to do a 24 hour urine catch on Sunday (where I have to collect ALL of my urine in a big jug for 24 hours) and then on Monday they’ll test it and I’ll have some bloodwork done. High blood pressure in pregnancy = BAD…
Other than that, all went well at our appointment. The heartbeat is nice and strong and my weight gain is still looking good. We go back again on November 25th and I’ll have to do the Glucose Tolerance Test to check for gestational diabetes. I am so not looking forward to drinking the syrup!
And we had good news! The doctor moved my due date up to March 16th and told us that he thinks I will go even earlier than that. Apparently she has been measuring almost a week larger for awhile now so we may get to meet our baby girl even earlier than expected!

YAY! That’s always good news, moving the due date up! I’m actually due March 15th. They didn’t say if they are going to move it up yet or not since I’m measuring 3 weeks and 4 days farther than what I am, but somehow lost 5 lbs. They wanted me to go in for an ultrasound tomorrow to check on babies size. Anyhow, congrats!!!
The moving is my favorite part! I can’t wait til this one is more regular! The glucose stuff isn’t that bad at all–you wouldn’t want to drink it on a regular basis or anything but it’s not terrible. I drank mine through a straw–made it a little better.
Only 4 months till I get to see beautiful baby Dordea pictures!
Hello lady! I am so excited for you. And just to make you feel even better… the glucose stuff is GOOD!! It tastes like orange soda
The only part that I didn’t like was how cold it was. Yummy…. Love you guys!!
Congrats! I thought something was wrong with me b/c I couldn’t feel Noah move until later in my pregnancy, but once he started he never stopped. It is the best and make it all more real! Wishing you all the best and good luck with the glucose test and urine gathering! Love you both!
It’s just syrupy Orange Crush. If it wasn’t such a large cup, it would be quite enjoyable. Just being told you have to drink it makes it less fun though. Watch the blood pressure — I had toxemia and it was NOT cool. I think you’ll be good though, your baby is prolly already bigger than Dylan ever was =)
Yeah, I would have to say the Glucose stuff isn’t that bad…it reminds me of Orange Sunkist. If you like Sunkist you won’t mind the test. I never had butterflies with Mason it was more like bubbles moving. It’s a funny feeling!
Your little one will be here before you know it!

Feeling her move is so exciting, isn’t it? I LOVED feeling my girls move. That was the best! And, when they were bigger, it was fun to watch my belly dance around!
Ahhhh, the joys of pregnancy! Hope all goes well!
Congrats on feeling her move.. I remember how exciting that was for me and miss it.
Hugs to you.. I had the high bp during my pg and they put me on Procardia at week 28. I did the 24 urine catch 2x.. hated it and it was pretty much impossible to go to work since the, um, urine has to be refrigerated.
I ended up with Pre-E in my 35th week and had him in my 36th and all ended well. He’s a happy, healthy two year old now
Congrats, Kory and Eddie! I can’t believe how time has flown by since I last saw you two in Vegas.
